| 备注 |
New Zealand convalescent depot canteens in the Middle East issued their own scrip during the Second World War to manage small transactions without drawing on actual currency. The 2 NZ Convalescent Depot Canteen operated in Egypt, handling the flow of recuperating New Zealand soldiers through the North African campaign. Scrip at this denomination — effectively fractional change — was printed on card stock because metal coinage was awkward to source and manage in forward-area welfare facilities.
Few pieces survived: canteen scrip had no value once a soldier was discharged or transferred, and most was discarded accordingly.
