Obverse description Central field features the crowned rampant lion of the Netherlands coat of arms facing left, set within a beaded inner circle against a granulated background of small squares. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design reading MUNT VAN CURAÇAO, with the date appearing at the bottom of the legend flanked by mint marks. The heraldic lion is rendered in a bold, stylised manner consistent with Dutch colonial coinage traditions.
