| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is dominated by a central beaded circle enclosing the denomination inscription in Arabic script reading 'سَفَراتُس رُوْپِيَه' (one hundredth of a rupiah), presented in two lines within the inner field. Surrounding the beaded circle, the outer legend repeats the same denomination value in Javanese script, running continuously around the periphery. A small decorative floral ornament appears at the top of the coin between the two scripts. The overall composition is bilingual, reflecting the colonial administration's dual-language monetary policy for the archipelago. |

The Netherlands East Indies cent was minted almost exclusively at Utrecht, with the distinctive caduceus privy mark of that facility appearing on the vast majority of issues across this long series. Production was intermittent rather than continuous — colonial authorities ordered strikes reactively, when circulating stock in the archipelago ran low, which accounts for the wildly uneven mintage figures year to year.
The KM#307.1 and 307.2 distinction turns on a minor modification to the coin's edge treatment made partway through the series run.
