| Obverse description | Central field features the coat of arms of Ghana, depicting two Ghanaian eagles displayed as supporters flanking a quartered shield bearing national symbols, surmounted by a black five-pointed star. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto in two lines: FREEDOM AND JUSTICE / AND. The mintmaster's mark (ММД) appears below the arms in the lower centre of the inner field.
