Reverse description The central vignette presents the Ghanaian coat of arms in fine intaglio engraving, its shield bearing a black star at centre set within a guilloche rosette, flanked at left by a traditional Akan drum and at right by an Okyeame staff with ornamental sword motifs. The denomination numeral '1' appears at lower left, with 'ONE CEDI' in script lettering at the foot. A pale multicolour guilloche underprint fills the field throughout.
