| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of Ludovico II, Marquis of Saluzzo, wearing a barrette and an ornate collar with armour visible at the truncation. The portrait is rendered in a late-Gothic Italian style with fine detail in the hair and dress. The effigy is set within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend disposed around the periphery. A small cross mark appears at the commencement of the legend. |
