Obverse description Cast bronze cash coin featuring four Chinese seal script (zhuanshu) ideograms arranged in cruciform fashion around a central square perforation, read clockwise from top: 至 (Zhi), 和 (He), 元 (Yuan), 寶 (Bao). The characters are rendered in elegant, rounded seal script style characteristic of Northern Song imperial coinage, with bold raised strokes set against a flat, unadorned field. A plain raised rim encircles the design, and a square raised boss surrounds the central square hole. The overall execution reflects the refined casting standards of the Renzong reign period.
