| 表面の説明 | Central square hole (穿) surrounded by a raised inner rim, with the four-character reign title legend 元豐通寶 arranged in cruciform fashion around the perforation, reading top-to-bottom and right-to-left in the cursive running script (行書) style. The calligraphy is boldly rendered with fluid, dynamic strokes characteristic of Song dynasty artistic convention. A plain raised outer rim frames the field, which displays an attractive patina of green and dark bronze. The coin was cast by the sand-mould method, typical of Northern Song monetary production under Emperor Shenzong. |
