Obverse description Round cast brass coin with a central square hole framed by a raised square rim. Four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) are arranged in cruciform disposition around the central perforation, reading top-to-bottom and right-to-left: 雍 (top), 正 (bottom), 通 (right), 寶 (left), together forming the reign-title legend 雍正通寶 (Yongzheng Tongbao). The characters are rendered in bold, well-defined relief typical of Qing dynasty cast coinage. The flat field shows natural patination with areas of mineral encrustation consistent with circulation wear.
