| 正面描述 | Cast copper cash coin of standard banliang form, centered on a raised-rimmed square perforation. Four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) are arranged in cruciform fashion reading top-to-bottom and right-to-left around the central square hole: 咸豐通寶 (Xianfeng Tongbao, meaning 'Xianfeng circulating treasure'). The field between the characters and the outer rim is plain and slightly concave, consistent with the casting technique. The obverse rim is raised and well-defined, and the coin displays a dark patina with areas of blue-green copper corrosion. |
