| 背面描述 | The reverse displays two Manchu script characters disposed vertically on either side of the central square hole, reading 'Boo-yūn' (ᠪᠣᠣ ᠶᡡᠨ), the Manchu rendering of the Yunnan mint name. A small raised circle appears at one position around the aperture or within the field, serving as a mint-branch identifying mark that varies in placement across the several Yunnan branch mints (above, below, or to the sides of the hole). The field is otherwise plain with a raised outer rim. The bold, upright Manchu letterforms are characteristic of mid-Qing provincial casting practice. |
