Reverse description Plain cast iron field surrounding the central square perforation, bearing two Manchu script characters disposed vertically on either side of the hole — one character to the left and one to the right — reading together as 'Boo-jin' (ᠪᠣᠣ ᠵᡳᠨ), the Manchu designation for the Board of Revenue Mint in Peking. The field is otherwise unornamented, bounded by a raised outer rim, and the surface shows heavy oxidation and corrosion consistent with an iron alloy flan.
