| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents two Manchu script characters flanking the central square hole, positioned to the right and left respectively and read vertically in the conventional Manchu manner. Together they form the mint name ᠪᠣᠣ ᠴᠠᠩ (Boo-chang), identifying the Changsha mint of Hunan province. The characters are cast in raised relief on a plain, undecorated field, enclosed within a simple raised outer rim. The minimalist design is characteristic of standard Qing dynasty cash coinage produced at provincial mints. |
