Additional information

Issued during the resistance against Ming occupation of Đại Việt, this cash belongs to the brief monetary output of the Lộc Bình Vương rebellion — one of several fragmented uprisings that preceded Lê Lợi's eventual consolidation of Vietnamese resistance into what became the Lam Sơn movement. The rebels struck their own coinage partly to assert administrative legitimacy, partly out of practical necessity. Toda catalogued very few confirmed specimens, and the type remains genuinely scarce in any condition.
