Obverse lettering HONG-KONG 18 63 VR ONE CASH
(Translation: Victoria Regina, Hong Kong, One Cash)
Reverse description The reverse presents four large Chinese characters arranged around a central square border enclosing a round hole, evoking the traditional form of Chinese cash coinage. The character '香' (Heung/Hong) appears at the top, '港' (Kong) at the bottom, '一' (one) to the right, and '文' (man/cash) to the left. The entire design is enclosed within a fine beaded border, with the bold, brushstroke-style characters occupying most of the field in a deliberately archaic aesthetic consonant with contemporary Chinese coinage.
