正面描述 A stylized trident (trishula) occupies the central field, its shaft rising from a coiled serpent body and flanked by scrolling foliate ornaments. A cluster of globular pellets adorns the upper portion of the design, arranged in an arc above the trident head. The Malayalam era date 991, rendered in Tamil-script numerals, appears in the lower field beneath the trident. The entire design is enclosed within a plain circular border. The coin corresponds to 1815–16 AD in the Gregorian calendar, calculated by adding 825 to the Malayalam era year.

附加信息

Gowri Parvathi Bayi ruled Travancore as regent from 1814 to 1829, governing on behalf of her nephew Swathi Thirunal after the death of her brother. The regency years saw genuine administrative reform, including early engagement with British Residents that would shape the kingdom's relationship with the East India Company for decades. This cash issue dates to the Malayalam era years corresponding to that regency period, making it one of the few circulating copper denominations attributable to a female governing authority in Indian princely coinage.
