| 正面描述 | Cast bronze cash coin featuring the four-character reign title inscription 天聖元寶 (Tiansheng Yuanbao) arranged in regular script (kaishu) reading top-bottom-right-left around a central square perforation. Each character is boldly rendered in raised relief within the coin's field, separated by the axes of the square hole. The inscription commemorates the Tiansheng era (1023–1031) of Emperor Renzong of the Northern Song Dynasty. A raised inner rim borders the square central hole, and a broad raised outer rim encircles the entire coin. The surfaces show the characteristic mottled brown and olive-green patina typical of cast Song Dynasty bronze cash. |
