The characters are rendered in raised relief within a plain, undecorated field, with a raised inner rim surrounding the square hole and a raised outer rim encircling the coin's periphery. The casting surface displays the characteristic texture and patination typical of Vietnamese zinc cash coinage of the mid-nineteenth century. |
