正面描述 Cast copper cash coin featuring four Chinese characters arranged in cruciform fashion around a central square perforation, reading top-to-bottom and right-to-left: 紹豐通寶 (Thiệu Phong Thông Bảo). The characters are rendered in clerical script (lệ thư) with bold, well-defined strokes set within a plain raised rim. The coin displays a flat, unadorned field typical of Vietnamese Trần dynasty cash issues, with the legend denoting the Thiệu Phong reign era of Emperor Trần Dụ Tông (1341–1357) and signifying universal currency.

背面描述 Plain, uniface reverse displaying no design elements or inscriptions. The surface exhibits a flat, unornamented field bounded by a plain raised rim, consistent with standard Vietnamese cast cash coinage of the Trần dynasty period. The coin shows a patina of green and brown oxidation typical of aged copper alloy.

附加信息

Thiệu Phong was the reign title of Trần Dụ Tông, sixth emperor of the Trần dynasty, whose rule coincided with a period of mounting internal dysfunction — court factionalism, peasant unrest, and the early tremors of the Cham military pressure that would eventually devastate the dynasty within two generations. Cash coinage of this period followed the Chinese square-hole convention long established in Vietnamese minting, with production almost certainly centered at the imperial foundries near Thăng Long. Barker 19.1 is among the more frequently encountered Trần dynasty types, suggesting sustained output across the reign rather than a single short issue.
