| Obverse description | Round bronze flan with a central square perforation, characteristic of Tang-influenced Central Asian coinage. The obverse field bears a Sogdian inscription arranged around the central hole, reading 'trywn MLK`' (Ikhshid Tarkhun), executed in the distinctive Sogdian script. The legends are distributed in the four quadrants surrounding the square hole, with the characters rendered in low relief typical of hammered Transoxianan issues of the early 8th century. The coin surface shows natural wear and patination consistent with its age and bronze composition. |
