| Reverse description | Plain reverse with a central square perforation flanked by raised inner and outer rims. The field between the rims is flat and featureless, with no legend, symbols, or mint marks present. The surface is heavily encrusted with a layered green and brown patina, obscuring the original bronze surface. The casting seam and irregular flan edge are characteristic of the primitive sand-casting techniques employed by the Yunnan-Guizhou tribal workshops of the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries. |
