Obverse description Cast brass cash coin bearing the four-character reign title legend 順治通寶 (Shunzhi Tongbao) in regular script (kaishu), disposed radially around a central square hole: 順 (top), 通 (right), 寶 (bottom), 治 (left). The characters are rendered in bold, well-defined relief against a flat, recessed field. A plain raised rim encircles the coin, and the square central perforation is neatly defined by a raised border. The overall design follows the standard format of Qing dynasty cast cash coinage.
