| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central square hole flanked by two mint identification characters in relief against a flat field, enclosed within a plain raised rim. To the left of the perforation appears a single Manchu word rendered vertically in the Manchu script, reading ᠰᡳᡠᠸᠠᠨ (Siowan), representing the Manchu transcription of the mint name. To the right of the perforation appears the single Chinese ideogram 宣 (Xuan) in traditional regular script, denoting the Xuanhua Garrison Mint. The two-script presentation is characteristic of the Shunzhi-era bimetallic mint inscription reform introduced around 1653. |
