Reverse description Cast reverse featuring a bilingual mint identification flanking the central square perforation. To the right of the hole appears the Chinese character 東 (Dong), denoting Shandong province, and to the left the corresponding Manchu script syllable ᡩᡠᠩ (Dung), both rendered in raised relief. Above and below the square hole the fields are plain. A raised square boss surrounds the central perforation, and a plain raised rim borders the outer edge, consistent with the Jinan Mint output of the Shunzhi period.
