| Popis rubu | The reverse displays two mint identification characters flanking the central square perforation, one on each side. To the left appears a single Manchu script word (ᠴᠠᠩ, transcribed as 'Chang') cast in vertical orientation, and to the right a single Chinese ideogram 昌 (Chāng), together identifying the Wuchang Mint in both official scripts of the Qing dynasty. Both characters are rendered in raised relief against a flat, undecorated field bounded by a plain raised rim. This bilingual Manchu-Chinese reverse format is characteristic of the Type 5 Shunzhi cash coinage issued from approximately 1653 onward. |
