Obverse description Cast brass cash coin featuring four Chinese ideograms in regular script (kaishu) arranged in cruciform order around a central square hole, reading top-to-bottom and right-to-left. The legend 順治通寶 (Shunzhi Tongbao) occupies the four quadrants of the obverse field, with each character flanked by the raised rim and the edges of the central perforation. The characters are boldly rendered in relief against a flat, unadorned field, consistent with early Qing dynasty casting standards. A raised linear rim borders the outer edge of the coin.
