| Reverse description | Plain reverse field with a central square perforation surrounded by a raised inner rim and a plain outer rim. A single Chinese character 荊 (Jing), denoting the Jingzhou mint, appears to the right of the central square hole in the Hartill 22.27 variety, cast in bold regular script. The field is otherwise unadorned, with the broad flat surfaces showing typical casting texture consistent with provincial Qing dynasty production. The minimalist design contrasts with the more elaborate obverse, serving primarily as a mint identifier. |
