Reverse description Cast reverse with a central square perforation. Two Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) are positioned in the field: 一 (Nhất, meaning 'one') above the central hole and 正 (Chánh, meaning 'correct' or 'standard') below, together forming the denomination or mint mark inscription 'Nhất Chánh.' The characters are rendered in bold relief against a flat, unadorned field. The rim is plain and slightly raised.
