| 背面描述 | Plain uniface reverse bearing no inscription or decorative device. The surface is flat and featureless save for the central square perforation, bounded by a double concentric raised rim characteristic of this double-rim variety, mirroring the obverse border treatment. The casting surface shows the typical textured finish associated with Vietnamese bronze cash of the Tây Sơn period. |

Quang Trung — born Nguyễn Huệ — ruled for less than four years before dying in 1792, likely from a stroke, cutting short what had been one of the most militarily decisive reigns in Vietnamese history. His forces had routed a Qing Chinese invasion army of some 200,000 troops at the Battle of Đống Đa in 1789, just months after he proclaimed himself emperor. The cash coinage issued under his reign reflects an administration that was functional but perpetually at war, and surviving pieces in any condition are accordingly scarce.
The double rim variety catalogued by Barker at 93.19 is distinguished from the more common single-rim strikes of the same type — a minor but diagnostically important feature for attribution.
