Reverse description The reverse displays two Manchu script characters in raised relief, one positioned to the left and one to the right of the central square hole, reading vertically to form the mint name 'Boo-u' (the Manchu rendering of the Board of Revenue mint in Peking). A small dot, whose position varies by variety, appears in the field as a die-distinguishing mark. The field is otherwise plain, bounded by a raised outer rim consistent with the obverse.
