Reverse description The reverse displays two Manchu script characters flanking the central square perforation, one on each side, reading vertically. The right character reads 'Boo' (ᠪᠣᠣ) and the left reads 'U' (ᡠ), together forming 'Boo-u,' the Manchu rendering of the Board of Revenue mint in Beijing. Raised rim fillets connect the square hole to the outer rim, mirroring the obverse layout. The flat field and bold raised Manchu legends are consistent with standard Qing dynasty Board of Revenue cash coinage.
