Obverse description Cast brass cash coin with a central square hole flanked on four sides by Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu). The reign title 'Qianlong Tongbao' is arranged in the traditional cross-reading order: top (Qian), bottom (Tong), right (Long), left (Bao), radiating outward from the square perforation. The characters are boldly rendered within an unadorned flat field, bounded by a plain inner rim around the hole and a raised outer rim. The workmanship reflects the early Qianlong period style with large, well-formed strokes characteristic of the Jingning mint issue.

Reverse description Plain flat field bearing the Manchu mint name divided symmetrically by the central square hole, with one Manchu word cast to the left ('Boo') and one to the right ('Jin'), read vertically from top to bottom. The Manchu characters are rendered in the standard script used on Qing dynasty cash coinage, with relatively large and well-defined strokes indicative of the early Qianlong period issue (Hartill 22.324). The field is otherwise undecorated, bounded by a raised outer rim and a plain inner rim surrounding the hole.
