Beschrijving voorzijde Four large Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) are arranged in cruciform fashion around a central square perforation, reading top-to-bottom and right-to-left: 乾 (top), 通 (right), 隆 (bottom), 寶 (left), together forming the reign title and monetary legend 乾隆通寶. The characters are boldly cast in high relief against a flat field, enclosed within an inner square rim surrounding the hole and an outer raised border. The coin exhibits the characteristic light-type style associated with posthumous Jiaqing- and Daoguang-era production at the Aksu mint.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse is divided into two fields by the central square perforation, each carrying a single mint-name inscription in a different script. To the right of the square hole, the Uyghur-Arabic word اقسو (Aqsu) is cast in raised relief in Old Uyghur script; to the left, the corresponding Manchu word ᠠᡴᠰᡠ (Aksu) appears in Manchu script. Both inscriptions identify the Aksu mint in southern Xinjiang, following standard Qing practice for coins struck in the western territories. The legends are boldly rendered against a flat field, framed by inner and outer raised rims.
