Obverse description Uniface cast bronze cash coin centered on a square perforation, around which a raised square border frames the field. Sogdian legend in cursive script occupies the four quadrants surrounding the central square hole, reading wg`tmys xwbw pny, translating as 'Coin of the Ruler Oghitmish.' The inscription is arranged in the manner typical of Central Asian cash coinage of the early medieval period, with individual word groups positioned above, below, and to either side of the central aperture. The surfaces display an even green patina consistent with prolonged burial, with the legend remaining legible despite moderate wear. The flan is irregularly shaped with a slightly uneven rim, characteristic of the cast production technique employed by the Tukhus tribe.
