| Obverse description | Flat bronze field surrounding a central square perforation, with a Sogdian inscription encircling the hole. The legend, reading 'wgtm`y xwbw pny' (Coin of Ruler Oghitmai), is distributed around the central opening in the characteristic manner of Central Asian cast coinage of the Türgesh period. The surfaces exhibit the typical rough, granular texture of cast bronze, with the inscription rendered in low relief against an unadorned field. |
