Travancore maintained its own coinage well into the British Raj period through treaty arrangements that preserved the kingdom's internal administrative autonomy. Moolam Thirunal Rama Varma VI ruled from 1885 to 1924, though this issue spans only the first decade of his reign — likely reflecting a recoinage or mintage consolidation rather than a hard production cutoff.
