| Obverse description | Central square perforation surrounded by a raised square frame, with Arabic legend disposed in the four quadrants of the field, reading clockwise around the hole. The inscription names the ruler as Malik Aram Yinal Qaraj. The coin follows the traditional Central Asian cash format, with the script rendered in a bold, somewhat archaic style characteristic of early Qarakhanid copper issues. A plain raised rim encircles the entire design. |
