| 表面の説明 | Round cast brass cash coin with a central square perforation, following the traditional Chinese yuan-fang-kong (round coin, square hole) format. The field bears four characters in regular script (kaishu) arranged in a cruciform pattern around the central aperture, reading clockwise from top: 隆 (Lóng), 通 (Tōng), 武 (Wǔ), 寶 (Bǎo), together forming the reign-title legend 隆武通寶 (Lóngwǔ Tōngbǎo). The raised characters are bold and well-defined in style, set within a plain, unadorned field bounded by a slightly raised inner rim surrounding the square hole and a raised outer rim encircling the coin's edge. The surface exhibits a patina of brown and dark green consistent with aged brass. |

| 裏面の説明 | Plain reverse field with a central square perforation framed by a raised inner rim, and a raised outer rim at the coin's edge. A single Chinese character 户 (Hù) is cast in bold regular script above the square hole, identifying this issue as struck under the authority of the Board of Revenue (Hubu). The remainder of the reverse field is blank, consistent with standard Southern Ming cash coinage practice. The surface shows pronounced brown patination with areas of green cuprite corrosion, typical of aged buried brass. |

The Longwu Emperor — the Tang prince Zhu Yujian — established his court at Fuzhou in Fujian province after the fall of Beijing to the Qing in 1644, and the Longwu reign lasted barely fourteen months before Qing forces overran the city in late 1646 and he was captured and killed. Cash coins struck in his name were produced at the Huguang mint, designated by the "Hu" reverse character, though Qing control of that region was already contested and supply chains for metal and minting operations were chronically disrupted throughout the reign.
