| 正面铭文 | 龍 寶 通 鳳 (Translation: Long Feng Tong Bao Dragon and Phoenix currency) |
| 背面描述 | Plain reverse with a central square perforation bordered by a raised inner rim and a raised outer rim. The field is entirely blank with no inscriptions, symbols, or decorative devices, confirming the uniface nature of this issue. The surface exhibits heavy green patination and encrustation typical of cast bronze cash coins of the late Yuan-to-Ming transitional period. |

The Longfeng Tongbao was issued under Han Lin'er, the puppet emperor of the Song restoration state set up by the Red Turban rebel movement during its war against the Yuan dynasty. Han Lin'er held the reign title Longfeng — "Dragon and Phoenix" — while real power rested with Liu Futong, who orchestrated the rebellion across the Huai River basin. The coins were struck not from imperial infrastructure but from whatever foundries the insurgents could control, which explains the considerable variation in metal quality and casting consistency seen across surviving examples.
