| Reverse description | The reverse features a central square hole flanked by two mint identification characters in raised relief against a flat field. To the left of the hole, a Manchu script character is cast vertically, and to the right, a single Chinese character in regular script identifies the Datong Garrison Mint. The remaining two quadrants of the reverse field are plain, conforming to standard Qing dynasty cash coin practice. Both rims — inner and outer — are clearly defined, framing the sparse but precise mint markings. |
