Reverse description Plain flat field divided horizontally by the raised rim of the central square perforation, with two Manchu script characters cast in raised relief on either side of the hole. The Manchu word 'Boo' (ᠪᠣᠣ) appears to the right and 'Chiowan' (ᠴᡳᠣᠸᠠᠨ) to the left, reading vertically, together forming the mint name 'Boo-chiowan' identifying the Board of Revenue Mint in Beijing. The reverse field is otherwise plain, framed by a broad, flat outer rim.
