Obverse description Round brass cash coin with a central square hole, bearing four Chinese characters in raised relief arranged around the perforation in the four cardinal positions: 康 (Kāng) at top, 熙 (Xī) at bottom, 通 (Tōng) at right, and 寶 (Bǎo) at left, reading 康熙通寶 (Kangxi Tongbao). The field is slightly granular with a raised outer rim.
