Obverse description Cast bronze cash coin featuring four Chinese seal script (zhuanshu) ideograms arranged in a cruciform reading pattern around a central square perforation. The four characters 景祐元寶 (Jing You Yuan Bao) are read clockwise from the top, each occupying one quadrant of the inner field. The characters are rendered in the archaic seal script style, with bold, raised strokes typical of Northern Song dynasty imperial coinage. A raised inner rim (inner cord) borders the square hole, and a broad outer rim frames the coin's circumference. The surfaces display characteristic green and blue-green patination consistent with aged bronze.
