| Obverse description | Central square perforation surrounded by a raised inner rim, with four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) arranged in cruciform fashion around the hole, reading clockwise from top: 景 (Jing), 德 (De), 元 (Yuan), 寶 (Bao), forming the reign-era legend 'Jingde Yuanbao'. The characters are boldly cast in relief against a flat, unadorned field. An outer raised rim encircles the entire design, characteristic of Northern Song dynasty cash coinage. The surfaces display a dark brown patina consistent with aged bronze. |

| Reverse description | Plain, featureless reverse with a central square perforation surrounded by a raised inner rim and a raised outer rim, both well-defined. The field is entirely blank, exhibiting no inscriptions, symbols, or mint marks, as is typical of Northern Song dynasty cash coins of this type. The surface shows a heavily encrusted dark brown and black patina with visible casting pits, consistent with prolonged burial or circulation wear. |
