Obverse description Cast bronze cash coin featuring a central square perforation framed by a raised inner rim and an outer rim. Four Chinese characters in elegant Seal script (篆書) are arranged in cruciform order around the central hole, reading clockwise: 嘉 (top), 寶 (right), 元 (bottom, partially), 佑 (left), forming the reign title and denomination legend 嘉佑元寶. The characters are rendered in the refined, rounded Seal script style characteristic of Northern Song imperial coinage, with moderate relief against the flat coin field. The surface shows typical casting texture consistent with Song dynasty minting practices.
