| Reverse description | Round cast brass cash coin with a central square hole surrounded by a raised inner rim. Two Manchu script characters are cast in relief flanking the central aperture, reading from right to left: ᠪᠣᠣ (Boo) on the right and ᠶᡠᠸᠠᠨ (yuwan) on the left, identifying the Board of Works Mint (Yuanmingyuan) in Beijing. The field is otherwise plain, and a raised outer rim borders the coin's circumference. The legends are characteristic of Qing dynasty Board of Works issues, with the mint name rendered exclusively in Manchu script on this face. |
