The character to the right reads 'Boo' (ᠪᠣᠣ) and to the left 'Fu' (ᡶᡠ), together forming the mint designation 'Boo-fu', identifying the Board of Revenue Mint in Beijing. The characters are cast in moderate relief against a recessed field, with a broad plain outer rim typical of Qing dynasty Board of Revenue issues. |
