Reverse description Plain reverse presenting a central square perforation flanked by a raised inner square rim (inner rim or nei guo) and a broad, flat field extending to the raised outer rim. No inscriptions, symbols, or mint marks are present. The surface displays a mottled patina of dark brown and olive tones with scattered green verdigris, typical of Song Dynasty cast bronze cash coins recovered from prolonged burial contexts. The casting seam has been smoothed and the field is otherwise featureless, conforming to the standard anonymous reverse type of Northern Song small cash coinage.
