| Reverse description | The reverse displays two Manchu script characters separated by the central square hole, reading vertically in the traditional manner. The left character reads 'Boo' and the right 'jiyen', together forming the mint name Boo-jiyen (Board of Revenue Mint, Tianjin). A small dot appears at a variable position relative to the central hole — either above, below, or at one of the four diagonal positions — serving as a die variety marker. The field is plain and the rim undecorated, consistent with Qing dynasty cast cash coinage practice. |
