Reverse description Central square perforation flanked on either side by a single Manchu word cast in raised relief, read vertically and separated by the hole. The character group to the left reads 'Boo' and to the right 'jiyen', together forming 'Boo-jiyen', the Manchu rendering of the Baojin Mint name in Tianjin. The script is rendered in the standard Manchu vertical style, with strokes of moderate depth. The field is otherwise plain and unadorned, with no additional devices or border ornamentation.
